Three people. All work in-house. Website design rooted in Emilia-Romagna.
Wild Flower Designs opened in Imola in 2016. Marta Costa had spent seven years at agencies in Bologna and Milan and had a straightforward reason for leaving: she wanted to work on fewer projects at a time, with more honesty about what was and was not likely to work, and without the layer of project management that sits between the people doing the work and the clients who need it done.
Imola is a logical place to run a design studio. It sits between Bologna and the Adriatic coast, close enough to a major city to serve the businesses there without being inside it. The motorsport community that surrounds the Autodromo means there is a higher-than-average concentration of technically demanding businesses within commuting distance — engineering firms, specialist suppliers, hospitality and events operators — all of whom have specific and considered requirements for how they present themselves.
The studio has three people. Marta handles creative direction and client relationships. Giada Ferri leads visual design. Luca Neri leads development. All project work is done by the three of us. We do not outsource to external contractors on client projects, which means when you engage Wild Flower Designs, you are working with the same team from brief to handover.
The clients we serve are predominantly small and medium businesses in Emilia-Romagna, the creative and professional sectors in Bologna, and artisan producers across the Romagna area. A number are in other parts of Italy. A small number are outside Italy entirely. What they tend to have in common is that they need their website to do a specific job and are tired of websites that look acceptable but do not perform.
All project work is done in-house by our three-person team. No outsourcing, no contractors. When you hire Wild Flower Designs, you work with us directly from brief to handover.
